FAQ's
What is coaching?
Coaching is a supportive, collaborative process that helps you better understand yourself, navigate challenges, and create meaningful change.
At Still Grounded, coaching provides a space to explore what's going on, develop practical tools and strategies, and find greater steadiness in everyday life.
What is the difference between coaching and therapy?
Therapy often focuses on treating mental health conditions, healing past experiences, or working with psychological difficulties. Coaching is generally more forward-focused. It supports you to develop awareness, build skills, navigate challenges, and move towards goals that matter to you. Coaching is not a replacement for therapy, counselling, or medical treatment.
Do I need an ADHD diagnosis to work with you?
No. Some clients have a formal diagnosis, while others are exploring the possibility that ADHD may be part of their experience. Coaching can support you whether you are newly diagnosed, awaiting assessment, self-identifying, or simply experiencing challenges with focus, organisation, overwhelm, or emotional regulation.
Can coaching help with anxiety?
Many people find coaching helpful for understanding patterns of anxiety, overthinking, overwhelm, perfectionism, and stress. Coaching cannot diagnose or treat anxiety disorders, but it can help you develop practical tools, self-awareness, and strategies to navigate anxiety more effectively.
Can coaching help with grief?
Yes. Grief can affect every aspect of life. Coaching provides a supportive space to process change, loss, uncertainty, and the practical challenges that often accompany grief. There is no expectation to move on, fix your grief, or follow a particular timeline.
Can coaching help with chronic pain?
Coaching can support people living with chronic or persistent pain to better understand the impact pain has on their lives, develop practical coping strategies, and create greater capacity for wellbeing alongside ongoing challenges. Coaching does not diagnose, treat, or cure medical conditions.
What is the STILL Method?
The STILL Method is a gentle, body-aware approach that helps people develop greater awareness, regulation, and self-understanding. Rather than pushing through or fighting against yourself, the approach encourages working with your nervous system to create sustainable change and greater wellbeing.
How many sessions will I need?
This varies from person to person. Some people benefit from a short period of focused support, while others prefer ongoing coaching over several months.
We can discuss what feels most appropriate for your needs and circumstances.
Are sessions online or in person?
Please contact me for current availability and options. Online sessions allow people to access support from anywhere in the World.
What happens during the first session?
The first session is an opportunity for us to explore what brings you to coaching, what support you're looking for, and whether coaching feels like a good fit.
There is no pressure or obligation to continue beyond the first session.
Is everything I share confidential?
Yes. Sessions are treated as confidential, except in circumstances where there is a legal obligation to disclose information or where there is a risk of serious harm to yourself or others. Further details can be found in the Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy.
How do I know if coaching is right for me?
You don't need to have everything figured out before reaching out. If you're feeling overwhelmed, stuck, navigating change, or looking for support to move forward in a way that feels more sustainable, coaching may be a helpful place to begin. If coaching isn't the most appropriate support for your needs, I will always do my best to help you identify other options.
How do I get started?
The simplest way to begin is to book a first session or get in touch for an informal conversation. You're welcome exactly as you are.
